why venice?
Venice & photography … If ever there was a perfect place for photography, this enchanting city has got to be right up there among the very best.
I have had the pleasure of visiting Venice many times and still, each and every time I go, I find more fabulous scenes to shoot and capture. My absolute favourite time of year to visit is January … Yes, it may be a bit chilly, and it may even rain a little during this time, but it honestly changes nothing about the city’s allure. In fact, the cooler temperatures and occasional drizzle just add to the overall atmosphere, creating a unique and captivating backdrop for stunning photographs.
à la carte tuition
Tuition ‘à la carte’ is a term you don’t often hear in photography. What does it mean, and how can you join? It's easy. I’ve previously hosted group tours that the participants found very inspirational. However, since Covid, people's preferences have changed …
I’m excited to share that I will be in Venice this January, offering personalised tuition for one day or six days, tailored to your needs. You can also choose extras like night or sunrise photography.
Unlike typical tours that include flights and hotels, I want you to pick your own accommodation and flights that work for you. After you book your travel and hotel, you can reserve your spot with me and you are all set :)

where are we going ? … what will we see ?
Venice at its best … Where will we go and what will we see is a big topic! So some examples …
San Marco, the main square in Venice and during the summer it is over run with tourists, but not for you… it will be quiet and atmospheric and as the light fades it takes on the most wonderful glow from the lights which give us perfect photo opportunities.
Accademia Bridge … Just the perfect view down the Grand Canal looking at the Church of Santa Maria Della Salute … A classic Venice image but done well it is beautiful :)
Burano … An island off Venice with wonderful brightly coloured buildings … photo heaven!
… there’s more
Rialto … No trip is complete without a visit to the iconic Rialto Bridge … photographed millions of times, so we are going to do it differently :)
Jewish Quarter … A truly historic and beautiful area full of canals and quaint bridges … one of my personal faves to photograph.
Is that all ? … Of course not !
We take a vaporetto to a stop that tourists never look at and then we work our way back through the alleyways and of course we get lost ! … that’s the best bit.
