“Who doesn’t love a great door? Everywhere I go I photograph them whenever I come across them. My problem now is that, as time has gone on and my collection has grown, I’ve become very fussy about my doors!
My doors have to have lived a life, be full of decay and texture with multiple layers of colour revealed as the old paint flakes off. My doors are often barely on their hinges. These are the doors I look for and they are hard to find. Sometimes I look at a door and say to myself ‘it will look great in another 20 years’!”
