“I’ve been fortunate enough to visit India many times and still the visual feast never ceases to amaze me. The colours and textures are a photographer’s dream … and the food … wow! But India is a country full of contradiction: areas of terrible poverty and incredible wealth somehow exist together, and I’ll never understand how.
The images you see in this collection are some of my favourites and an attempt to capture the colours and atmosphere of the country. I’ve always visited the north of the country from Delhi up to Rajasthan with a side trip to the wonderful Varanasi, a place I cannot stay away from. One day I’ll travel south to what I am certain will also be amazing.”
